What plants are in the tropical rain forest?

The rain forest is what people have called or named a large amount of trees which are growing in wet climates it is always warm and rainy in a rain forest.

Rain forests contain more plants and animals than any other habitat on the entire earth! There are over 30 million species of plants and animals in the world's rain forests! One part of the rain forest measuring about four-square miles usually contains around 125 different mammal species,400 species of birds, 100 different species of reptiles, 60 amphibian species, and 150 different kinds of butterflies!

A true rain forest has many trees acting like a great umbrella which shades the forest floor. The umbrella is make up of many branches, leaves, and treetops found in a rain forest. All tropical rain forests resemble each other in many ways. Trees grow close together in the rain forest. This provides much shade and prevents the sun from reching the forest floor.

Rain forests have layers, but they aren't vety easy to see. Scientists divide rain forests into four basic layers-the emergent layer, the canopy, the understory, and the forest floor. All of these layers work together in one large community to support each other.
