Environment
When a snake is in a difficult place it will often try to
get out of using its natural instincts. An escape-proof cage is a
must when having a snake as a pet. The cage should have
venilation such as a screen so air circulates evenly. Glass
aquariums are good for small snakes, wooden cages with glass
sides are best for larger snakes. A water bowl with a flat bottom
and large enough to hold the whole snake should be in the cage in
order for the snake to soak its body. To prevent blisters from
being formed by an excess of moisture it is important that the
cage be kept dry.
