Egg . . . . Tadpole
Most frogs lay thousands of eggs at a time. These eggs are
laid in huge clumps; and are covered with a protective jelly like
substance.
The young animal that hatches from the egg is called a
larvae, otherwise known as a tadpole. Tadpoles look more like a
fish than like frogs. They have a tail and breath through gills.
