BONES OF THE HUMAN BODY

In order for you or I to sit or stand without looking like a mound of flubber, we are put together with a rigid supporting tissue better known as the bone. The bone consists of a chemical mixture of organic salts, plus various organic substances. The bone is both hard and elastic. Bone marrow makes up 2 to 5 percent of a person's body weight.
