Thats right, its a platypus!

A platypus lives in Australia. It is a special kind of mammal called a Monotreme. It has fur, is warm-blooded, and produces milk like a mammal, but it has a bill, webbed feet, and lays eggs like a bird! Tha platypus is about the size of a beaver. It swims a lot, using its front feet as paddles and its back feet to steer. (Picture of webbed foot)

When the female is ready to lay her eggs, she digs a long burrow on the riverbank. The burrow can be 85 feet long! At the end of the burrow she lays her eggs. When the eggs hatch, special glands on the motherís chest produce milk. The babies lick the milk from their mothers fur. (Picture of mother with babies)
