Pillbug Project

What is a pillbug? How does it move and how strong is it? These are a few of the questions that students attempt to answer in this project.

Each group of students sets up a pillbug colony to study their characteristics. Important data is recorded.

Daily observations are made and recorded.

Part of the project is to determine pillbug strength and speed.

This pillbug is pulling many times its own weight.
