MARINE MAMMALOLOGY

Marine mammalology is the study of mammals in marine waters. There are many, many different kinds of marine mammals, such as: Dolphins,Whales, Seals, ect.

Any mammal is classified by:

-birth, if it has live birth or not
-mother’s milk, if they nurse their young
-fur or body hair
-breath air
-warm blooded

Even though the majority of marine mammals don’t have fur or body hair they are still considered mammals because of the fact that they still fit into the category with everything else.
