Job Duties



Most virologists are researchers and study the natural history of viruses and the diseases they cause. Some duties include: designing and performing experiments, planning research, writing grant proposals in funding, lecturing students if employed be a university, advising graduate students, writing papers for publication in scientfic journals, and presenting at national and international meetings. Those are some of the many few important jobs a virologist does.
