Dare Posters

We did a lot of things during Drug Awareness Week.  On Monday we kicked off the week with an assembly.  Sixth grade Languare Arts students read poems they wrote about not doing drugs.  Every student in the elementary received a red ribbon to wear to remind us not to do drugs.  On Tuesday it was hats off to Drug Awareness Week.  All of the students wore their favorite hat on that day.  On Wednesday there was a handy treat coming our way.  It was a glove with popcorn in it prepared by 5th graders.  Then on Friday we had another assembly closing the week.  More 6th grade students read poems they had written.  Every class did something special for the assembly.

Our DARE Officer sponsored a 6th grade poster contest.  First place winners received $25, second place $15, third place $10, and runner-up got $5.  All in all we had a great Drug Awareness Week!
