Guest Speaker Sheriff Anderson

On November 25, South Hamilton sixth grade Hawk Talk groups enjoyed having Hamilton County Sheriff Scott Anderson as a guest speaker. Sheriff Anderson talked about tolerance, a theme the sixth graders have been discussing. Tolerance is noticing differences between people and then being accepting of those differences, Sheriff Anderson said. From his personal experience in law enforcement and from working with students in the county's DARE program, Mr Anderson spoke of the need for tolerance of religious beliefs, national heritage, gender, and social status
Sheriff Anderson included participation of sixth graders in his talk, and answered questions following his comments. You will be remembered primarily by how you treat others, he concluded. Sheriff Anderson was then invited to eat the school's Thanksgiving dinner in the South Hamilton lunch room.
