New Auditorium Seating

Getting prepared for new seats for Jensen Auditorium

The removal of the old auditorium seats has begun.

Interesting patterns were created by the old seats while they were being disassembled.
Linda Loux is shown removing the wood arm rests which
used to clatter onto the floor during performances.

Student volunteers helped carry the old seat parts outside to make room for the new seats.


Surprisingly, in the dusty debris on the floor after the old seats were removed, were some old programs. The following programs were artifacts lost for a generation inside the auditorium:

Many think the auditorium looks smaller with all the seats cleared out.
Acoustics have changed. There is now a four second echo without the seats to absorb sound.
