The seventh grade Industrial Technology classes are discovering laws of nature by working at several engineering projects. One is to build an object as tall as you can using only one piece of paper and tape. With scissors and creative minds at work, these students are experimenting with the strengths of different shapes in order to prove by measuring heighth that they have a good ideas. This two day project in Mr. Nelson's class is pictured here in the first experimental day. Some students are trying several concepts. Others have taken an early lead. At the end of the second day, which will be tallest? |
