February 3, the
100th Day of School

My name is Trevor Ullestad and I am in Mrs. Thompson's first grade class. Today is a very special day in first grade.  It is our 100th day of school. We have been waiting and waiting for this day to come. Now that it is finally here we have a poem that we would like to share with you.

We would like to invite you to the media center to look at our displays of 100 things that we brought from home. We are very excited to show them to you! All of the first grade classes hope that you have a great 100th day of school!  Thank you!

The 100th Day of School

February 3rd is a very special day,
We will be counting in a first grade way.
Our special day is super cool,
All year we've worked on counting the days,
Our 100th day seemed very far away.
Now that it is here we feel kind-of crazy,
Our day will surely be turned upsy-daisy.
We have all brought 100 things,
Some are old and some are new.
We have left them in the library,
for the whole school to view.
On this crazy day we will read, count, laugh, and eat,
This day will probably be too short... but sweet.
At the end of the day don't be surprised when you hear,
I wish this day came more than one time a year!
