Generous South Hamilton Elementary School students have been collecting cans and boxes of food and other needed items for a donation to the local Lord's Cupboard food pantry.  In the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas break, 2,526 items have been donated so that all families might experience the Christmas season without the concern of whether there will be enough to eat.

The classes which brought in the most donations were the 4th grade, with 640 items, and the 6th grade, which brought in 630 items.  Individual classes noted were Mrs. Ervin's 4th grade with 402 items, Mrs. Walker's 2nd grade with 279 items, and Mrs. Marienau's 3rd grade with 140 items.  Congratulations, students for your generosity!
