following the last day of those students will be in this building.
The following photos taken January 14,
2000, the
first day of school in the new building for the 5th and 6th graders.
This is the art room located in the northwest corner of the
new building.
It has three sinks and lots of storage areas. These tables were assembled
yesterday and are ready for this room's first students who will arrive
shortly.
Since the band area on the old stage is not yet completed,
students will have to temporarily use the vocal music room for this purpose.
Here the fifth grade band has their first rehearsal in the new building.
To Mr. Carey's left may be seen a computer which will be able to print
when the network connections are completed. The television harness
can be seen hanging from the ceiling in the center.
Mrs. Gansen had been holding her vocal classes in the library.

Some band lessons are held in the future computer lab for a while.
This is the hallway from the old part of the elementary school.
Students are kept out until the wiring, painting, floor tile and ceilings
are finished.
Signs like this are on doors of several of the old classrooms..
This doorway in the future band room (the old stage)
will hold an elevator which will make that area accessible.
