Mrs. Marienau's third grade class has completed a character education project. 

The class selected Dick and Jane Baldus as our couple to receive a Valentine gesture of kindness.  We decided to make a warm blanket for them because we know they are kind, warm, kid-loving people.

To earn money, we first had a in-class fundraiser. The students sold and decorated cookies for their family and friends. Of course, we had lots of fun along the way!

Next, we bought the fleece and tied the blanket together in class. The project turned out PERFECTLY!  We were excited to give it, with love, to Dick and Jane!

We had enough funds to make a beautiful blanket for another caring person, Ms. Witte.
