Fifty 1st graders from South Hamilton Elementary School visited Terrace Hill on May 14 for Reading Day, an event hosted by Iowa's First Lady, Christie Vilsack.  While in the mansion, students had a tour of the first floor, followed by a story time with the Fist Lady.  Before leaving, the kids enjoyed cookies and lemonade on the Terrace Hill lawn.  Costumed storybook characters and volunteers from the State Library also helped to entertain.
