Lukas Ickerott, our German exchange student, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Heribert Ikerott of Berlin. Lukas has a younger brother Philiu. Lukas decided to be a foreign exchange student to learn more about the American people and their way of life. Lukas's host family is Mr. and Mrs. Richard Anderson of rural Jewell and their four children, Michael, Dale, Clint, and Zac.

Lukas, a senior, is now in cross-country and plans to play basketball. He loves South Hamilton's Go! Fight! Win! spirit. He also loves American brownies. Although Lukas is enjoying his stay and the friendliness and spirit, he already misses his family and friends. Most of all, he misses Germany's fresh warm homemade bread and Gummies.
