The challenge was to build a model bridge by gluing wooden toothpicks together and then to measure the strength of that model by seeing how much force the bridge can stand before it breaks. Pictured are the winning team of Ariana Wolf, Jenna Krause, and Sarah Carlson. Their model withstood 22 pounds of pressure before fracturing several braces. The second place bridge withstood 20.9 pounds of stress.
