Mrs. Hall's 6th grade Science classes invited their parents in to help with heart dissection.  The students began by making a fist (which is approximately the size of their heart) and comparing it to the size of a pig heart.  Students traveled through the heart the direction blood would flow, and were able to see valves and vessels similar to their own.  Nurse Vicki Olthoff helped with the actual cutting and she pointed out interesting aspects of the heart.
