Careers in Biochemistry

Biochemists have careers in many research environments, in
industries associated with natural products and in medicine. Some
of these jobs are routine analysis and quality control, and
others involve more direct responsibility for the health of the
public.
We usually connect health issues with doctors and hospitals,
but it is just as important that the food we eat is healthy and
disease-free. Food analysis is mainly based on biochemistry, and
there are many jobs for biochemists in the food industry, and
also with the health industry.
Some careers in biochemistry include ecology, forensic
science, marine biology, forestry, and horticulture. These
careers are very important because they provide many jobs for
thousands of people.
