Marie Curie - Physicist
Marie Skolodowska was born on November 7, 1867 into the
family of Professor Wladyslaw and Madame Bronislawa Sklodowska.
She spent her early childhood years in Warsaw, Poland where she
graduated top in her high school class in 1883. She soon left her
home for college in France where she graduated with second honors
in the mathematics department.
After graduating from Sorbonne on July 1894, Marie went out
in to the world with a license in Physics. Soon after Marie was
released to the world - she feel in love with another Physics
major........Pierre Curie. They married on July 26, 1895. Soon
after their marriage - a child was born. Irene Curie, born
September 12,1897, was the couples first child. Their second
child, Eve Curie, was born on December 6, 1904.
